Benefits

Life Cover pays a lump-sum amount in the event of a member’s death.

• Fully underwritten with a medical-free limit of R2,600,000.
• Cover applies to the member.
• Benefit: 3.25 to 4 × annual salary plus fund credit, less tax.
• Members should keep beneficiary nomination forms updated.

Capital Disability Cover protects the member against loss of income where permanent and total disability prevents work.

The Personal Accident and impairment benefit covers accidental death, disability or impairment up to R75,000, subject to policy terms.

Children older than 23 are not covered. Extended family members are excluded.

Vouchers are redeemable at selected Shoprite and Checkers stores.

Families receive guidance on funeral homes, documentation and procedures. Burial repatriation within South Africa is included, subject to benefit conditions.

Qualified teachers provide academic assistance across a range of school subjects for children whose parent or guardian has risk benefits under the Fund.
